2011 Tryouts Packet

We will be participating in the 2011 Emerald City Volleyball Invitational Jamboree. Please download the file and review. Note this is only a varsity event. All players participating will need to have ten practices by Sept 2nd which means a mandatory Saturday practice on August 27th! There can be no exceptions to this. ECVI (128)

Hey all… Starting August 22nd we will have tryouts. They should last through the 23rd at which time we will choose our 3 teams for the upcoming season. Tryout and practice times will be between 10am and 2pm each day until school starts.* Please be on the court dressed and ready to practice 15 minutes before posted time. However note this time frame could change if individual coaches feel there is a better time to practice their individual teams. Others things to make sure you aware of. Each player needs 10 practice days to compete in first match. I will be posting our schedule here by Wednesday of this week. We will consider a Saturday practice before school starts if needed. Make sure you have gotten your ASB card, your physical updated, and see Mr Catalinich in the AD office for a grade check and an official clearance to practice. No one will be able to tryout or practice until the AD department has cleared you. If you have any questions please contact me through our website. Coach John

Tryouts will be on August 22nd and 23rd. Times will be announced soon. Things to remember, you need 10 practice days before you can play in any matches, you will need to have your 2011-12 ASB card, a current physical, and a grade review from AD Catalinich before you are able to practice. Please make sure this is done by August 18th.
Please check back for end of July workouts and strength and conditioning workouts in August prior to tryouts.

Varsity Summer League is each Monday night and JV is on Wednesdays. All returning Varsity and JV players are welcome to attend the Varsity Summer League and all Cteam and JV players are welcome to play on Wednesdays. Some of you varsity players have asked to come on Wednesday to work on secondary positions and I think that is a good idea. Example a right side varsity player could be the setter in the JV match! Players should be at 512 Courts by 5:30 to get warmed up for a 6pm match. On days when are first match doesn’t begin then be there at 6:30
